We had the privilege to meet the US ambassador to Brazil. The ambassador came to inaugurate Abba, the school that we attend. After he finished his speech, I asked him if it were possible to do an internship in Brazil...
This is me at Praia do Jacaré, or in English, Aligator Beach. There we at a wonderful dinner and listened to live music. The man you see in the boat, under the setting sun, is the man that played the saxophone for us. He has played over 2000 live performances.
Safety first! I know that my mom will appreciate knowing that I am taking my safety seriously.
We all paid to go on a sail boat ride in the ocean. We crashed through huge waves that dumped water all over us. When we got out in the deep water we were able to jump off the boat and swim in the ocean. It was a little scary swimming in the deeper water. They told us that there were no sharks, but I was still nervous because I couldn't see what was swimming under me.
We went to a beach called Ponta Negra in Natal. Ponta Negra translates to Black Point in English. The name is very appropriate. At the beach I stepped on a rock or something sharp that gave me a pretty good cut. I am lucky to have Vanessa, my study abroad teacher, taking such good care of me.
